Share Purchase
To join our co‑op, new members purchase a share valued at $4,000, which serves as part of the co‑op’s working capital. We use a joint share model, allowing two or more household members to hold the share together.
Each share provides voting rights at our general meetings and is refunded when you move out, provided there are no outstanding charges or repairs.
Financial assistance: The Co‑operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) offers no‑interest loan programs to help new members cover their share purchase, including the Disability Trust and the Domestic Violence Relief Fund. Additional community loan programs may also be available.
